Graduate Blessing 2007

We congratulate the following individuals who participated in our Graduate Blessing this year. They are: Mercedes Cardenas, Cristopher Quintero, Amy Quintero, and Olivia R. Huerta. These students will be going to college in the Fall. Good luck and God Bless You!

Mass on the Grass 2007

This year’s Mass on the Grass festival was a great success! Thank you all for coming to St. John Berchmans for this special occasion.

Parish Dance 2007

We will be having our Annual Parish Dance this year on September 29, 2007 at La Villita Assembly Hall in downtown San Antonio. We will be having a dinner, raffle, entertainment, a dance for the youth and a dance for adults.

Vacation Bible Study 2007

VBS is an annual event at our parish. This year’s theme was “Avalanche Ranch.” The students had a great time. They can’t wait for next year to see what is in store for them.

The parish celebrated our 100th Anniversary with a special mass of thanksgiving on Sunday, August 8, 2010 at 9:00am.  Bishop Oscar Cantu was the celebrant.

After the mass, we had a reception in the school cafeteria.  A BBQ meal was served and enjoyed by all.  There was food, music and entertainment.

Our guest speaker was the Honorable JoAnn De Hoyos, Judge of County Court at Law #11. Judge De Hoyos is a life-long member of our parish.

Parish Directory

The Lifetouch Company was here at the parish during January 2010 taking photographs of our parishioners.  Volunteers were at church after all Masses in December 2009 to sign up parishioners and their families.  Each family that was photographed received a FREE Parish Directory and a FREE 8X10 photograph.  Additional photos were available but there was NO OBLIGATION to purchase them.

Are you new to St. John Berchmans Catholic Church?  If so, you are invited to register yourself and your family as a SJB parishioner.  You can do that one of two ways.

1. Come to the rectory office to fill-out a registration application.  The office is open Monday – Friday from 9:00am – 5:00pm (we are not closed for lunch) and Saturdays from 10:00am – 2:00pm.
2. Click below to download a registration application.  Once completed, bring it by the rectory office for processing.

Once your registration application has been processed, the office can provide you with collection (donation) envelopes.  You will receive a box of collection envelopes to be used throughout the year.  A collection envelope number (parish account number) will be assigned to you and you can place the envelopes in the collection basket at Mass.
